Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson (born April 14, 1970) is an American actress, singer as well as a writer and director. Her most recognizable part is that of Tara Maclay, in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Additionally, she's directed, produced and performed in her own films Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also starred Kiss the Bride. Benson was born January 8 1977, in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle Benson is her artistic younger sister. Benson has a father who is Jewish while her mother is Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue. Benson has appeared in numerous movies and TV shows after Buffy was over, most notably The Killing Jar. She also used her skills as a writer on her own show, the Ghosts of Albion Series and produced Drones in 2010.
